Earth Is Moving At The Sanctuary!

September 7, 2012 - Andrew stands at the Sanctuary as the heavy equipment arrives to begin site excavation. (Click to enlarge)Construction at The Sanctuary began on September 7, 2012. After three long years of careful planning and permit application, the construction crews arrived on site. Huge earth movers began crawling through the landscape, excavating for the new road into the property, building site elevations and parking areas. The new road construction also opened the door for other infrastructure work to begin.

With excavation underway, Andrew anticipates that the first phase of the project, including Charis Bible College's first building, The Barn, will be complete within the next 14 to 16 months. The Barn will be the primary classroom portion of the Sanctuary facilities and will include 23 classrooms, two auditoriums (with a maximum seating capacity of 2,400) and a large industrial kitchen.

Here are several images of the progress:

I have really enjoyed hearing about the progress on this project. Thank you, Andrew, for taking the time to keep us informed. Your enthusiasm is contagious, and because you (and by you, I mean Jamie and the prayer team, too) have been such a blessing to us, it makes us happy to see your dream and the future dreams of others who will be students there coming to fruition in the buiidling of this facility designed to bless the world with the Good News that is Christ. Hallelujah!

It is so clear that this is also God's dream coming to fruition. He is SO good, and I praise Him for all of this and for so much more. We serve a mighty God whom we are blessed to call Father. In other words, "Yea God!" and "Awesome report!"

Keep up the good work for the Good News Team! :-)

I am so excited to keep an eye on this progress! I am a first year student at CBC Gardner about to go into my second year. But at the very beginning of 1st years God spoke to me to sow into the building fund because I was going to go there for 3rd year! I just keep checking on the progress, and it encourages me to keep progressing in school to reach for the prize of 3rd year in Colorado! Thank you Father God for going before me and "paving" the way! (literally!)
