Uganda Update—Far and Deep

Andrew discusses Idi Amin's broadcast tower with Station Manager, Gary Everett (Click to enlarge) Thanks to the friends and partners of Andrew Wommack Ministries, a former source of lies and terror is being used to set people free. Today, Andrew visited Lighthouse Television in Kampala, where he has been broadcasting a special Ugandan version of Gospel Truth since 2005. The widespread success of Discipleship Evangelism, of Charis Bible College Uganda and of the new Karamoja outreach, is a direct result of this investment in broadcast television. Ironically, the television station was originally built by Idi Amin Dada, in collusion with communist China, as a propaganda machine to subdue the voice of the people who were brutally slaughtered from 1971 through 1979. In 1997, Calvary Cathedral International of Ft. Worth, Texas, acquired the station. This is the church pastored by Andrew Wommack board member Bob Nichols.

This is testimony to the fact that Lighthouse Television is the preferred source of Christian programming in Uganda.

The message of grace was labeled a cult in this city a decade ago, but since Andrew began teaching twice daily on Lighthouse Television, the message has found wide acceptance, even among many religious leaders. Each night, more than 200 responded to Andrew’s invitation to receive Jesus as Savior, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. At the end of the meeting, Charis Bible College students lined up to minister healing to the sick. Many lives were forever changed.Every eye was fixed on the stage as they listened to a man they had only ever seen on television (Click to enlarge)Andrew addresses a crowd of over 2,000 in the heart of Kampala (Click to enlarge)From cult to captivating, the message of grace has completely captured the hearts of the people in Kampala (Click to enlarge)
