Leaving a Legacy

(Click to enlarge)Not too long ago, our ministry received a small gift, something that almost seemed insignificant. It was an old wooden folding chair. Looking at it, you can see that time had left its mark. The back is engraved with a name, and that’s what makes it special. The bold letters read “Kuhlman.”

The engraved name reveals that this chair belonged to someone special and that it has a history. If the chair could talk, it would probably tell us stories of the people who were present at Kathryn Kuhlman’s meetings—people who had encountered God for the first time, people who had received salvation and the baptism in the Holy Spirit—like her own mother.

Kathryn described this, saying, “My mother didn’t know there was such a thing as speaking in an unknown tongue. She had never read it. She had no light on it. She was not seeking for it. And Mama began speaking softly and beautifully. It was glorious. [1] ” We heard stories of kids who were healed and grew up to be ministers of the Gospel. In the midst of great miracles, Kathryn exhorted people, saying, “Having your sins forgiven is the greatest miracle of all.”

This chair is a small memorial, reminding me that God has called servants throughout the ages to preach His Word to a dying world. And even after their deaths, the anointing on their lives continues to touch the lives of future generations.

(Click to enlarge)You know, one time some Israelites threw the body of a dead man in Elisha’s tomb, and when the body touched Elisha’s bones, the man came to life and stood on his feet (2 Kings 13:21). It was like a residual anointing continued to release the life of God, even after Elisha’s death!

Also in Acts, you can find how handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched Paul’s body healed the sick—even though Paul was not physically present (Acts 19:11-12).

Kathryn saw many miracles in her meetings. There are stories of people who were healed in line, waiting for the meeting to start. Her ministry influenced men and women of God who are now leaders in the body of Christ.

I remember serving as an usher in her meetings. I saw some of the most astounding miracles I’ve ever witnessed in my life. Her message encouraged me to see beyond my limitations and to pursue the call of God on my life.

God has given all of us gifts and opportunities. We need to look at them with a greater awareness and see that what we have in our hands today has the potential to influence the future. The anointing that God placed in each one of us—like the anointing in Elisha’s body—can continue to release life even after we die. We shouldn’t allow the cares of today to steal the potential of tomorrow.

Ask God to help you invest what He has given you in such a way that future generations will be able to profit from it. Remember, “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27).

(Click to enlarge)Today our ministry is moving forward with the construction of the second phase of our new Charis Bible College campus. As a ministry, we are making a great investment, but it motivates me to see that this investment is not just for today, that it is also for the future. This brings to my mind Psalm 78:6:

So the next generation would know [the Word of God], and all generations to come [will] know the truth and tell the stories so their children can trust in God.

Psalm 78:6, The Message, brackets mine

You know what? The chairs in our auditorium are not going to look like the chair from Kathryn’s ministry, but chairs are chairs. The important thing is the message.

As I meditate on this, my prayer is that our new campus will be a platform to take the anointing and the message of God’s unconditional love and grace to the next generation and that many will be able to receive the training they need to pursue the call God has on their lives. It’s really exciting to think about this, and like I have said before, “The best is yet to come!”

Andrew Wommack is leaving a legacy far greater than anyone I've ever known or heard about in this day and age! Thank you Lord for raising him up to start this bible college where the truth of the word is being taught and demonstrated. His teaching puts the whole Bible in the right perspective so it all makes sense.

I have never seen Andrew in person or physically before. I have never talked to Him before. He doesn't even know me. And yet he is the most influential person in my life. My life has taken a new turn ever since I encountered him. Praise God for a gift like Andrew to the body of Christ. To me, he's a living legend. He's left indelible marks on my heart already. He is my role model.

I love Andrew and mummy Jamie so much. God bless the wommack ministries.

Pat and I are thankful for the truth and simplicity that Andrew and other teachers present the Bible. We have received eyes to see, renewed minds and hearts to receive the Truth. Now we walk in the light of Jesus to know what to think on, what to speak and where to put our foot. We recognize The Truth and choose to stay there by faith. Thank you Andrew and Jamie for being faithful servants and letting us know there is a better way and that each day has "The Best is Yet to Come!"

I came in contact with the Andrew Wommack Ministries years ago on TBN. At first, I couldn't really follow his teachings but he said "that asking many people to pray with you could actually hinder your prayer due to their unbelief". For me, this was profound and from that day, I began to pray about my problems alone and I began to see amazing results!

For years, I didn't listen to him anymore until my sister mentioned his name one day. So, I bought and read 'a better way to pray'. This teaching just brought the word of God so much alive in me that now, I nearly almost live on the AWMI website. Then today, I have decided to become a partner and I will be taking the Bible course very soon! How very exciting!

Reading these comments actually drew tears from my eyes.

Coming in contact with Andrew's audio messages, books and meetings(online) are the greatest things that have happened to me.(apart from salvation).

I recall the day I got the understanding that Faith is a positive response to what Christ has already provided for us. It has been exciting remains an overwhelming experience for me.

With so much simplicity and precise delivery, Andrew reveals God's desire for mankind and this understanding has caused me to see miracles happen when I pray, speak in faith, and gain insights as I study the word on my own even though I'm not a pastor.

And just as Charles Owusu says:

"I have never seen Andrew in person or physically before. I have never talked to Him before. He doesn't even know me. And yet he is the most influential person in my life..."'re truly a living legend and I really do love you dad Andrew and mum Jamie so so much. God's blessing will continue to manifest in your lives(ministry inclusive) and your legacy will live on for a life time.

I love you so much.

Jesus is of course the one which marked this world, its history and even has divided it... Not only the world history, but the history of everyone that receives Him -there is a death before He step into someone's life, and an umprecedent life afterwards. To Him the Glory...
After Jesus I must confess the apostle Paul has being an uncomparable inspirition through his teachings and nowadays I must confess that Andrew Womack has being such an inspiration that has marked my life and ministry like no other contemporary minister since the day that with my 20 years old God gave me tge opportunity to be his translator a full week in Portugal in the pulpit and especially in those interminable fantastic hours ministring in prayer lines... He gave me a sure word if knowledge of God... That it would be my trainning, that I would minister in prayer lines in that same way throughout my life and ministry... Today I am 36 and it is true every since and growing in knowledge and experience! Thanks for all that time and teachings you have shared all this years... You are definitly a history maker which developes the life and ministry building in others the same passion to be used by God and used to change someone's history!

I am very happy for Andrew Wommack and Joseph Prince who are teaching the "Grace Message" like Apostle Paul and even more importantly, like Jesus' Word has written it. Thanks for helping making God's people free; some churches keep them in condemnation and guilt and powerless. Thank you both for divulging God's truth. We have been in bondage long enough. Does ANYONE else want to be free once and for ALL?!? God bless everyone out there. Choose to have a relationship with Jesus today and KNOW that He loves you enough that He came down here to die for us all. This plan was put in motion long before the foundations of the earth were even made. What an awesome God we serve!!!

Thank you Andrew for your sleepless nights, efforts, determination, and boldness to speak out the truth , being single minded. Your teachings changed my life too. I was blessed to meet you in person twice but I was surprised, you are such a simple man of God full of wisdom. My words can't express my gratitude, but my prayer is to touch others with the same love . To me ,you are my spiritual dad . May God continue to bless your family and ministry this year.
