Window Glass Adds Depth to the Barn

Recent glass installation has added eye-catching dimension to CBC-Colorado's new building in Woodland Park. Much like a smile adds to the brightness of a person's face, the addition of the Barn's windows has brightened the building's exterior. The reflections of the beautiful sky and surrounding landscape at the Sanctuary add a sparkle to the building's muted and rugged earth tones.

The inside of the Barn is coming along nicely too, as stone masons and finish carpenters continue to finalize the details in the hallways, classrooms and auditorium.

Carpet Adds Comfort to The Barn

As the building project in Woodland Park continues to move toward completion, many attractive details have begun to emerge at CBC-Colorado's new campus. Most notable in this post, is that the beauty of the Barn's huge wooden beams has finally been revealed. The finish carpenters have been hard at work above the auditorium, enclosing the ductwork and finishing the ceiling with a beam-matching hardwood. Similarly, crews continue the stone and wood finish work on the Barn's exterior surfaces. With all of the rich solid textures of wood, stone and concrete defining the Barn's rugged, Rocky Mountain flavor, the simple addition of carpet has brought a welcome comfort and softness to the Barn's classrooms and offices. Soon the equipping of the building will give way to the equipping of the saints!

Crisp autumn air has settled in at The Sanctuary. (Click to enlarge)

As October comes to a close, construction crews at The Sanctuary have far more work completed than they have left on their to-do lists. From outdoors to inside, noticeable progress has been made since our last pictorial. Concrete continues to flow into parking lots, nearly all of the Barn's windows are in place, the maze of electrical wires and water pipes that make for modern convenience is nearly set to bring the building to life, video screens have been concealed in classrooms and ceiling tiles have been hung. Here are the most recent pictures from the Barn, heading into the final stretch of phase one at CBC's new campus.
